Hosting & security

The website, control plane, academy and databases run on Scaleway, a European provider. Application data and database backups are stored in Amsterdam (nl-ams).

AI requests are sent server-side to Scaleway Generative APIs in Paris (fr-par). Transactional email is also sent through Scaleway in Paris. AI processing therefore does not take place in Amsterdam.

Scaleway does not use Generative APIs requests to train models. In cases of abuse or serious incidents, it may temporarily retain requests under its terms. Do not submit sensitive business or personal data during exercises.

Each customer has a separate app container, database and database user. Databases share a managed PostgreSQL instance. Connections are encrypted and database certificates are verified. Daily database backups are retained for seven days.

AI use is limited per person and per customer. A knowledge check or certificate supports your AI literacy programme, but does not itself guarantee compliance with every requirement of the AI Act.
